Day of Drama in Albuquerque: Underclass Final Four Set After Wild Bracket Battles

June 18, 2025

Albuquerque, N.M. - Bracket play at 2025 Pathway Albuquerque Underclass division delivered fireworks on Wednesday, featuring walk-offs and upsets in a thrilling day of baseball that set the stage for a dramatic Final Four at the Jennifer Riordan Spark Kindness Regional Sports Complex.

Prolific Select 2028 came out swinging, launching past Rawlings Tigers Orange with a commanding 16-4 victory to open their bracket campaign. But just when they looked poised for a deep run, they ran into a red-hot Southwest Snipers squad. The Snipers, fresh off a heart-stopping 10-9 walk-off win over ABA 2027 White in the opening round, pulled off back-to-back walk-off magic with a 7-6 win over Prolific to punch their ticket to the semifinals.

303 Burn Baseball also brought the bats, outlasting Rawlings Tigers Black 12-9 in a slugfest. That set up a heavyweight showdown with the tournament's top seed, USA Duke City Prime Manyo. In a game worthy of a final, Prime Manyo walked it off 8-7, living up to their number one status and clinching a Final Four berth in dramatic fashion.

On the other side of the bracket, 10-seed Pueblo Azteca emerged as the Cinderella story of the tournament. They stunned 7-seed USA Prime Duke City Red 2027 in round one, then turned even more heads by knocking off the number two seed NM17 to crash into the semifinals.

UP Vikings 15U kept things close in their opener, defeating Elite Baseball 2028 Bartos 8-5, but their run came to a halt in the round of eight, falling 9-2 to a strong USA Prime Duke City Meng 15U team.

After the dust settled, the 2025 Underclass Final Four is set for Thursday in New Mexico:

  • USA Duke City Prime Manyo (1 seed)
  • Pueblo Azteca (10 seed)
  • Southwest Snipers (4 Seed)
  • USA Prime Duke City Meng 15U (3 Seed)
