Pathway ABQ launched in 2018 and is entering its 8th year as one of the premier recruiting events in the region. Over time, it has grown into a centerpiece for Southwest, Midwest, Mountain, and West programs, creating opportunities that have helped more than 250 players sign to play at the next level.
From its beginning, the event has been built around one simple principle: matching the right schools with the right players. This focus on both fit and talent has made ABQ a trusted stop for recruiters and a proven pathway for athletes. Each year, 20–25 college programs are on site from start to finish, with offers often extended on-site.
All games are hosted at the Jennifer Riordan Spark Kindness Sports Complex, a five-field, all-turf facility recognized as one of the nation’s finest. The layout creates an intimate, centralized atmosphere — every game, every coach, every player, and every family together in one place, which makes for both an ideal recruiting environment and a high-level competitive stage.
Beyond the on-field product, Pathway ABQ has become a gathering place that reflects the spirit of baseball in the Southwest: competitive, community-driven, and built on opportunity. Players leave not just with exposure, but with meaningful connections to programs and coaches who understand their journey.
Looking ahead, beginning in 2026, Pathway ABQ will move to a new five-day format that combines both the 18u and 16u divisions (played separately). This structure allows organizations to bring multiple teams across divisions during the same week, creating a more unified, efficient experience for programs while still keeping the recruiting focus sharp. The adjustment reflects the realities of today’s landscape — shaped by the transfer portal and shifting timelines — while ensuring Pathway ABQ continues to maximize exposure, elevate competition, and deliver opportunities at the age levels that matter most.
We are entering our 8th year of the Pathway Albuquerque event. Our focus is maintaining geographic diversity along with top level competition. Each field has high school level lighting, is made of entirely synthetic turf and includes two bullpens and dugouts. Bleacher seating with shade canopies at each field provide spectators a great view of the game.
Our mission is to create a unique baseball experience by identifying and exposing exceptional athletic ability. We believe in connecting players with the right opportunities to play baseball at the next level whether it be JUCO, NAIA, DIII, DII or DI. With over 1,400 colleges and universities offering baseball programs, we work hard to connect the right players with the right coaches and opportunities as they look to continue their baseball career. There is also a strategic focus on providing knowledge to players, coaches and parents on the best path for each player.
Our experienced staff will support players, their families and coaches every step of the way, looking and listening for ways to improve the process, as we all aspire to help athletes maximize their potential through education, evaluation and exposure.

This workout is designed for unsigned players to showcase their abilities in front of college coaches on day one. It also serves as a tryout for the Prospect Games in San Diego. Players must show up ready to work and impress, as this workout will put them on coaches’ radars for the rest of the event.
Dates: June 10, 2026
Location: Jennifer Riordan Spark Kindness Regional Sports Complex
Format: Individual Workout and Prospect Games ID
Divisions: Upper Class
Entry Deadline: June 5th
Workout Days also serve as a Pathway Prospect Games Identifier for our San Diego event, where we select the top 132 unsigned players.
This is a qualifying event for Pathway Prospect Games, scheduled to take place from July 30 to August 3, 2025, at Triton Ballpark, the home stadium of UC San Diego Tritons. Pathway scouts, college coaches and club coaches nominate top unsigned players from its eight-event series to select 120 players and form six 20-man squads. These squads will participate in a five-day showcase, providing unsigned athletes from the graduating classes of 2025-28 a platform to display their skills in front of college coaches. The event attracts attention from coaches across all levels, including DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, and JUCO, creating opportunities for these promising athletes to play at the next level.
Nominations from Pathway events: Pathway will gather nominations from their events to select 120-160 of the top unsigned players.
Recommendations from coaches: College and club coaches who have been closely monitoring players' progress will provide direct referrals, potentially leading to selections for the Prospect Games.
Digital rosters must be 100% complete prior to the event in order for players to attend the event. No new players can be added once event starts. Completed rosters will also go in the “College/Scout” books for coaches/scouts to recruit during games. If a player is not listed on your digital roster, he will not appear in the “Coach Book” or be eligible to play. Coaches and scouts request that the more information, the better so they can recruit players.
