Pathway Utah Day One Recap: Opening Day Delivers Firepower and Drama

Utah Valley, UT - The 2025 Pathway Utah Tournament opened under clear skies and high expectations. From early-morning matchups to late-afternoon showdowns, Tuesday's slate featured more than 60 games played across high school fields spanning from Herriman to Provo. Each team entered pool play looking to set a tone, find rhythm, and start their championship chase on the right foot.

What followed was a day filled with shutouts, slugfests, walk-offs, and breakout performances — a perfect opening chapter in this five-day tournament.

Morning Highlights: Strong Starts and First Statements
The day began at 8:00 a.m. with an emphatic showing from the 2027 Utah Bears, who blanked Avalanche 10–0 at Alta High School. At Jordan, Utah Summit Baseball launched their campaign with an 11–2 victory over Boise Baseball Academy 18.

Garretson's/Gojo 16U handled Herriman 16U by a score of 8–3, while BlueChip 16U–Gray edged past 303 Burn Baseball HS in a close 6–5 contest. Over at West Jordan, Lobos 18U outlasted Idaho Falls Farmers 9–8 in a game that went down to the final inning.

NC Valley 16U, TEAM Analytics 2027, Jr. Sockeyes, and ONE6 18U all started strong, while CBA Stampede held off GBG Saint George 6–5 in one of the day's most evenly matched games. Suga Suga – Brande shut out Slammers Schuster 2027's, and Utah Dirtybirds 16u Pro earned an early 8–1 victory at Mountain Ridge.

Midday Momentum: Blowouts, Bounce-Backs, and Tight Finishes

By 10:30 a.m., the offensive fireworks picked up. RA 2028 White poured in 17 runs against GamePrep Academy 2027 in one of the biggest outbursts of the day. Avalanche rebounded from their morning loss with a 9–1 win over BlueChip 18U Webster.

Elsewhere, RC Premier Caston survived a 7–6 battle against Rawlings Tigers Quatro, while Utah Dirtybirds 16s dominated Boise Baseball Academy 13–2 at Skyridge. EPCB Diamondbacks held off a furious rally from Sticks 18U, escaping with a 4–3 win at Pleasant Grove.

CBA Summit 2027, BlueChip–Barela, and CBA Stockton Navy all secured convincing victories. TEAM Analytics 2026 and RA 18U Black picked up key wins in Pool B and Pool G respectively, and Trosky Utah 2028 Navy played sharp in a 5–1 win over Thunderhawks.

Afternoon Results: High Volume, Big Scores, and Major Statements
As temperatures rose, so did the intensity. Sandlot Baseball 2026 overwhelmed Rawlings Tigers Black SC 11–1, while UBA edged Trosky Utah 2028 Columbia in an 8–7 thriller. Utah Tribe Baseball 2027 impressed with a 9–2 win over Rawlings Tigers Black.

In Underclass Pool B/C, Brand Athletics flexed their power with a 13–4 win over Boulder Valley Baseball, and TEAM Analytics 2028 turned in a crisp 4–1 victory against RA 2028 Black. Utah Select and Utah Sox both posted double-digit performances, defeating Sticks 16U and Marucci Athletics 2026 Elite, respectively.

Sanpete Storm Chasers earned a 9–5 win against 303 Burn, while Wow Factor Nation–RM 16U beat Marucci Recruits 4–1. BlueChip–SLV edged CBA Summit South Corner in an 11–9 battle. At Riverton, Trosky Utah 18U dominated Fort Macleod Royals with an 18–0 shutout, the most lopsided score of the day.

RA 2026 Black rolled past Juice '27 by a score of 11–1, and CBA Summit Warriors topped USA Prime Mann 18U, 9–2. Kalispell Sluggers pulled out a dramatic 8–7 win over Idaho Prime, while Thunder Baseball rebounded from an earlier loss with a 9–1 win over Team Steel 16U.

Final Games: Closing With Command
In the final time slot of the day, Idaho Prime secured a 2–0 shutout win over Utah Tribe Baseball 2026 in Upperclass Pool K/L. At Provo, Utah Ducks closed out Day One with a commanding 10–1 victory over Gojo Baseball Club 17U.
