As we enter Year 9 of Pathway Albuquerque, we reflect on the event that laid the foundation for the entire Pathway platform.
Hosted at the outstanding Jennifer Riordan Spark Kindness Sports Complex, this event delivers one of the premier tournament environments in the country. With five full turf fields, a dedicated coaches’ tower and lounge, and a layout built for college exposure, the setting allows players to compete and be seen at a high level from the first pitch to championship Sunday.
Each year, 20–25+ colleges attend to recruit and evaluate. Hundreds of players have signed and continued on to the college ranks after competing in Albuquerque. More than 40 athletes from this event have advanced to our Prospect Games platform in San Diego, continuing their Pathway journey.
Programs travel in from Colorado, Arizona, Texas, Idaho, Utah, Montana, and across New Mexico, creating competitive matchups and meaningful opportunities you simply do not see in a typical regional event. College Workout Night, breakout individual performances, underdog championship runs, and high-energy playoff atmospheres have become part of this event’s identity.
But championships matter here.
